Green Porridge

Another one of the great and easy go-to breakfast ideas is porridge. But this is not the typical porridge we eat in the morning. According to my mom, this can be considered as one of the super-food. That is why i’m glad to share her recipe.

Ingredients

  • Curry leaves or Pennywort (Gotu Kola)
  • 2 tbsp Rice
  • Coconut scrapes
  • Fenugreek
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 Red onion
  • Pinch of salt
  • Treacle Jaggery (Optional)

Instructions

  • Put a lot of curry leaves and pennywort (Gotu Kola) into a blender with some coconut scrapes.
  • Add in a little bit of water and blend.
  • Sift the juice well and put it aside.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of rice into a bowl and boil it with some garlic, fenugreek, red onions and salt.
  • When the rice is boiled, chop everything with a fork.
  • Add the green juice into the rice and boil well in high heat.
  • Now, sift the juice to a glass and drink with a piece of Treacle jaggery (Optional)

Quick Tip: Eat a small banana or some raisins after to get the maximum health benefits.
